The Weeknd is still working on releasing an official video for the single off his newest mixtape Echoes of Silence, but High 5 Collective have stepped in to create their take on the visuals for “Montreal”, where a step-father gets creepy with his daughter in law. The video has a very dark vibe to it, so it goes really well with the song. Enjoy.

Tired of The Weeknd yet? I sure as hell am not. Here’s yet another hit from The Weeknd that comes with very little (zero) information, called “Initiation”. It could be on his next mixtape ‘Echoes of Silence‘, due out some time this year.

If you have too much time in your hands and play it over and over, you’ll notice that from HOB to Thursday to this song, his style is leaving the ‘dark r&b/post-r&b’ vibe and morphing more with hip-hop/rap; just an observation. Enjoy.

I was fortunate enough to meet Grieves and see his spectacular performance from backstage at the Salt Lake City Warped Tour stop last month. He had his long time producer and multi-instrumentalist, BUDO, with him to provide live instruments and back up vocals. They performed songs from Grieves latest album ‘Together/Apart‘ which came out on Rhymesayers Entertainment last June. ‘Boogie Man’ is the newest video from that album. It provides great visuals in a ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ type atmosphere that blends perfectly with the eerie tone of the song. If you like this style of Hip hop, This Seattle based rapper is defnitely one to keep an eye on.
