They took a different approach than most remixes I’ve heard lately, and decided to add in their own vocals, as well as tweaking the sound. I could not be more excited right now. The album I have been waiting for is finally available for streaming via NPR. That was to be expected, as Noah stopped by NPR a few days ago to do a guest DJ set and talk about the album. This is great though, since he released the first single off this album almost a year ago, it’s safe to say that most AnC and Panda Bear fans have been longing for this record ever since.

Tomboy comes out April 12 on Paw Tracks so get to ordering.

Here’s a new track from Friendly Fires, “Live Those Days Tonight”, off their forthcoming album Pala. Pala is named after the island in Aldous Huxley’s 1962 novel ‘Island’, and has been produced by the band themselves as well as Paul Epworth (has worked with Adele, Cee-lo Green, Kate Nash and Friendly Fires) and the album will feature guests Alex Frankel (Holy Ghost) on “True Love” and Harlem Gospel Choir on “Hurting”. The album is out May 16th on XL Recordings, check the tracklist and listen to the single below.
