Air: ‘Le Voyage Dans La Lune’ Album Stream

At last, we can stream Air’s newest work, Le Voyage Dans La Lune / A Trip To The Moon.

The duo are no strangers to soundtracks, as they have created the work for Virgin Suicides and others, and have created yet another masterpiece. The 31-minute album is the soundtrack to the film A Trip To The Moon, the very first science fiction film, from way back in 1902, created by Georges Méliès. The film went through a 12 year long restoration, and is now ready to be viewed, and the soundtrack which accompanies the film will be available February 7th.

Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi + Jack White – Two Against One

Directed by Chris Milk and Anthony Francisco Schepperd, with vocals by Jack White, the video for “Two Against One” features Schepperd’s stunning animations, reminiscent of a Pink Floyd music video.

According to director Chris Milk, the “Two Against One” video is only a small piece of a much larger project to come.

“Myself, Brian (aka Danger Mouse), and the producers Anthony Bregman (Eternal Sunshine) and Megan Ellison (True Grit), are currently developing the Rome project into a theatrical feature film. While the video for “Two Against One” is hand-drawn cell animation, the film would be live action. The music video is essentially the fever dream of the antagonist of the story. It’s mostly his backstory, his life before the tale we see in the movie. If you have a fast computer with Chrome installed you can also see the interactive lucid dream of the protagonist at www.Ro.me. These pieces are sort of narrative breadcrumbs that lead you to the eventual larger story. More to come soon.”

Raymond Raposa + Sufjan Stevens + Vesper – Beyond This Place

Sufjan Stevens joined Raymond Raposa to create a song for a documentary called Beyond This Place, which is “a tale of the relationship between filmmaker Kaleo La Belle (a childhood friend of Stevens) and his rebellious, hippie father.”

The National – “Think You Can Wait” (Win Win clips)

Danger Mouse + Daniele Luppi: Rome, new track “Black”

Back in 2004, Danger Mouse and Italian composer Daniele Luppi got together to create Rome. This unique album is a throwback to old Italian film music that the two share a passion for. But in order to get a complete product they need help from vocalists who could fulfill the position of a man and a woman, and they enlisted none other than Jack White and Nora Jones to fill those shoes.

There’s a lot more to the project that can only be revealed through listening, so here’s a first taste at Norah Jones’ track, “Black”.
