The very first time I saw The Morning Benders they won my heart over by performing a unique, crowded, live version of their song “Excuses” for YoursTruly. Since then, the band has toured intensively, won over many fans, and decided to change names, since “The Morning Benders” insinuated a derogatory relation to homosexuality that the band didn’t intend to be related with. Now called POP ETC, the band returned to YoursTruly for another superb live video, only this time it’s a bit more intimate.

St. Lucia – Before The Dive

One of the many top acts to watch out for this year, St. Lucia returns with a really great video for his featured single, “The Dive,” following the drop of his self-titled EP just last month.

His full album will come out later this year, and I seriously cannot wait.

I haven’t posted Niki & the Dove before but I think it’s time I show them some love. The Swedish duo, Malin Dahlström and Gustaf Karlöf, will be coming out with their debut LP, Instinct, on May 4, with a regular version and Deluxe version of the album, the latter of which will include a few extra songs. Beach House are back with Bloom, their follow up album to the amazing Teen Dream LP.

You can expect the familiar, hazy, nostalgic, synth-heavy, Beach House sound, from their previous records, so their earlier fans will be really happy to know that they haven’t “sold out” or “gone a different direction.”
