Mogwai Builds Portal, Travels Through Dimensions via Rano Pano

I’m pretty sure that while growing up, every boy and his best friend planned a way to travel through a portal, much like Bill and Tedd sans phone booth. Director Tom Scholefield set out to do the same in the music video for “Rano Pano” which we’ve already heard a few months ago. Tom Scholefield says the video was inspired by 80s VHS tapes and is, ‘a homage to boyhood fantasies’.

So there you have it. You can hear “Rano Pano” and many instrumental monsters on Mogwai’s forthcoming album, Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will which arrives February 15th via Sub Pop.
